Painfully it is increasingly common to find churches (Thank God not all), in which supposed men of God-assuming an authority that has been given them by the Word-"decree" to his followers all kinds of things from this world such as material wealth, financial freedom, earthly prosperity and physical health. But is that the way in which Scripture instructs us the children of God to act? Let's see what the letter of James teaches us about:
Come on now! who say, 'Today or tomorrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and sell, and get gain ... James 4:13
In these lines, James began addressing those believers who, boasting with pride and arrogance of their business, they overlooked that is none other than the heavenly Father who holds the destinies of men in their hands, and that's just for the Goodness Divine (Matthew 5:45), and not by human efforts vain (Psalm 127:1 / Psalm 39:6) -, that man good things happen (Romans 9:16). Such pride and lack of humility among unbelievers would be understandable, but not among the children of God.
Above all, keep your servant from presumptuous sins; them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent of great transgression. Psalm 19:13
The decrees, and the proud heart
Haughty eyes and a proud heart, And of the wicked, is sin. Proverbs 21:4
With your great wisdom in your trade you have multiplied your riches, and because of your wealth your heart is lifted up. Ezekiel 28:5
The false teachers of our time teaching the people that men can control their destinies through the words of your mouth, but that is it not the practice of the "decrees" man incurs the same pride (Leviticus 26 : 19) and arrogance (Ezekiel 28:17) that those to whom James wrote, because it leaves out God to commit the arrogance to take their destiny in their own hands?
The decrees and the occult
in the prophets of Samaria I have seen folly; prophesied in Baal, and caused my people astray Israel. Jeremiah 23:13
But there is something more than the sin of pride in wanting to ignore God in control of our destinies, and the initiation of the people in the covert practice of occultism. For surely it called "decrees" (in the occult are called "spells") are an attempt to manipulate the spirit world to attract benefits merely earthly material plane, just as you would any among you that there are many magicians today , many of whom, it is no secret, even use the Bible and invoke the name of God in Hebrew to achieve their ends, in the same line as that Balaam (Numbers 22:1-6) that helped pervert the people God (Numbers 31:16 / 2 Peter 2:15 / Jude 1:11 / Revelation 2:14). Caring heavenly Father
... Ye know not what tomorrow will bring. For what is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live and do this or that. Santiago 4: 14-15
We should not get carried away by the bad example of pride and arrogance in which God's servants incur bad-pride and arrogance that we know of who are (Ezekiel 28:2-19 / Isaiah 14:12-15) -. Not for attractive doctrines have been twisted to disguise of Christian, which actually come from the occult.
We are not like many, who negotiate with the word of God, but we speak of Christ with sincerity, as commissioned by God, and in the presence of God. 2 Corinthians 2:17 (NKJV)
Instead of decreeing or declare for something to happen at will, let our destinies in the hands of those who should be: Heavenly Father. And if something as need arises, we raise our prayers to Him who before you ask for something, you know what we need (Matthew 6:8 / Matthew 7:7 / John 16:24).
But now you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil, and who knows to do good, and doeth it not, it is sin. Santiago 4:16-17
The letter of James teaches us that want to live without taking into account that it is God who is in control of our lives is wrong, because all boasting in which shelved God is malevolent, and decree or declare for material wealth obtain certainly are boasting and harmful. 's Word instructs us to ever declare decree or material wealth it reaches us. That's a very old metaphysical (occultists call Law of Attraction), which at the time our Lord rebuked
Pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do, who think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Matthew 6:7
Peace and health are not the result of our judgments, but the will of God (1 Peter 4:19 / 2 Corinthians 12:8-9), to which we must always keep begging for his mercy plea. ... praying that somehow has to end, by the will of God I may succeed in coming to you. Romans 1:10
Now she that is a widow indeed, and desolate, trusteth in God, and continueth in supplications and prayers night and day . 1 Timothy 5:5
Who in the days of his flesh, offering up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears to him could save him from death, and was heard because of his reverent submission. Hebrews 5:7
But also our requests should always be away from the greed and vain and superficial things of the world.
Ye ask, and receive not, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your pleasures. James 4:3
For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added. Matthew 6:32-33
Therefore I say: Do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Behold the fowls of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are ye not much better than they? Matthew 6:25-26
And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. 1 Timothy 6:8
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not from the Father but from the world. 1 John 2:15-16
